The students are working on a short poem about the video we watched about covered wagons today. They are to finish their poem tonight and proof-read for errors. This is due Tuesday.

Hi all,

Sorry I have not posted for a while things have been crazy. We will be taking the district assessment on counting money and counting back change next Wednesday. Please continue to practice using the links to games under the money section of links.

We will not have a new spelling list and will continue with the Little Painter of Sabana Grande next week. We will take the reading and story tests on Wednesday so that we can have any makeups before the break.

Hi all

We have a math page tonight Lesson 6.4 reteach. There are only three problems.

Also we have been working on some spider facts and filled out an organizer with information about spiders. They are to take the information from the squares put them into paragraphs. We have been working on this in class, however several students are not done. They need to finish this for homework tonight.

Hi all,

We will have only the American heritage words for spelling this week. There are 16 words be sure to practice with your kids or have them visit spelling city to practice.

We also started gathering data and graphing today. We learned to use a tally chart and a frequency chart today. There are examples of both on the page we did in class and they have a homework page to do tonight.

Hi All,

Sorry about not posting for a while being away and sick really tests your time management skills.

We took a chapter test today, most everyone did well however there are modules assigned to most students for extra practice in the areas they missed on the test. (Look at the robot on think central) Please have your student work on these at home tonight if they did not get a chance to finish in class. Also, We are taking a unit test Most students have finished the test in school. Please allow them to finish tonight if you have time. This is not going to be used as a grade but will allow me to see what areas your child still needs practice and will allow me to assign intervention modules so they can master the skill.

Back in the swing of things,

I was at some great workshops but I am still trying to get caught up on work and plans. Sorry I have not posted since I have been back.

We do have a math page tonight lesson 4.8 choose a method. The students are to choose paper pencil, mental math, or calculator then solve.
